Drilling and Routing
Drilling is a process of creating holes in PCB for through hole component insertion and creating interconneciton between different layers of same PCB. Drilling can be done mainly by mechanical tools or by laser technology. In ever shrinking product dimensions, PCB manufacturing has high complex PCB's with thousands of holes /sq.cm. of only few microns.  Routing is a process of separating individual PCB's from a panel by through cutting according to geometry of PCB. Routing is again done using mechncial, tools & laser technology. With tighter product fittings in enclosures, demands a very complex routing that is challenging for PCB manufacturers. Exposure systems
Exposing of PCB is basically an image transfer proces of transferring image from a plotted film onto a bare copper clad laminate. Under intense UV light, a photoresist which is applied on a bare copper laimate is exposed in areas which are to be kept on copper laminate, thus forming lines on it. Remaining are where UV light has not been able to make contact due to non opaque area of film, forms tracks of PCB. Exposing machines are available in different categories depending on automation, image transfer techniques & source of light. Multilayer Fabrication
Mulilayer Fabrication is although a very simple term but in reality it is a very complex process of manufacturing today's high count and dense multilayer PCB's. Multilayer Fabrication consists of following steps : - Multilayer Registration - Vaccum Lamination Multilayer registration are basically systems which are used for creating a registration between different layers of same PCB. These systems are normally vision based. Vaccum Lamination is basically to laminate together the different layers of PCB using prepared material under high temperature and vaccum conditions. A good registration and vaccum lamination system ensures a high yield for PCB manufacturing plant and high reliability of PCB's being manufactured.
