**HR 600 hybrid rework system**

The HR 600 is equipped with a highly dynamic and efficient heating technology with the bottom-side heating (2,400 W) being divided into three independent heating zones. The newly developed hybrid top-side emitter provides 800 W of heating power and combines the advantages of infrared heating with those of a convection heater. In order to thermally control the rework process the HR 600 uses the proven closed-loop technology. The component temperature is measured and can be controlled exactly. What is new is that the non-contact temperature measurement is even more precise due to a digital infrared sensor (pyrometer).

HR 200

The ERSA Dip & Print Station enables effective preparation of multiple component body types before rework. Fluxes or solder pastes can be applied to the landing areas precisely, reproducibly and very easy in handling.

Optional dip-in stencils allow for easy flux or solder paste dipping. This process is suitable for many BGA and Fine-Pitch-type SMD components. The component pins are simply dipped into a defined reservoir of flux gel or solder paste. Using a component-specific print stencil the pins of QFNs / MLFs or further SMD components can be printed very easily with a precise solder paste amount.

In the printing process the component is fixed to the stencil and printed with solder paste on

its bottom side. After flipping it back, the component is positioned on the PCB with the placement unit.

Adequate frame fixtures to attach the stencil frame of the Dip & Print Station to the placement unit are available for every ERSA rework system.

The ERSA IR 500 rework system is a compact solution for the widest variety of rework and repair applications with BGAs, SMTs and conventional assemblies.

Utilizing the advantages of dark IR technology, the IR 500 A allows for safe and uniform rework without the need for component-specific nozzles. The patented aperture system of the upper IR emitter protects sensitive components against adjacent heating and allows several components to be reworked simultaneously. The integrated vacuum pipette allows the user to automatically lift off a wide variety of components from the PCB during rework. A contact thermocouple with digital display
allows for enhanced process control.

Advanced operators using the HR/IRHP 100 complete system can not only set air volume and heating power levels, but they can also run & record profiles! Ersa's ergonomically designed Hybrid Tool handle contains a positioning laser which helps the operator to focus the heat precisely throughout the entire process. Via the Mini-USB port, the HR 100 can be connected to Ersa's top of the line and well established rework software, Ersa IRSoft (see pages 16 & 17). The HR 100 has been designed to be used with the IRHP 100, an 800 W IR-heating plate.
